New York: Dodd, Mead and Company, 1921. Hardcover. Very Good. 322 pages. 6" x 8-1/2". Green boards with gold lettering. Bottom edge of spine has mild edge wear. Otherwise, the cover is in very good condition. All pages clean, intact, and tightly bound. Inscription on front inside page says: Sisters of Mercy Davenport, D.J. McCarty, M.D. 1921. Two appendices: (1) Enlisted men from the muster rolls and enlistment papers of the Revolutionary army and navy and the Provincial Militia. (2) Extracts from marriage records, showing various places in the American Colonies where families named McCarthy were located prior to 1800. (The earliest listing is January 1683 - Mary McCarty and Joseph Hunscot, Boston, Mass.)
