NY: Brentano's, 1926. Hardcover. Very Good +. The Miracle Edition". Clean, solid better than very good copy. No names, inscriptions, bookplates. etc. 8vo, gilt-stamped charcoal linen, top edge stained orange, decorated endpapers, xxxv, 381, lavishly illustrated with b&w and color plates. Laid in are promotional materials for performances of The Miracle at the Cleveland Public Auditorium in December 1924: a three-panel folded brochure and a large, folded news flyer, 18x24" issued by the Cleveland Civic 'Miracle' Committee, which includes brief items about the acting and creative principals of the production, including a young Norman Bel Geddes, who was art director. The ephemera laid-in is scarcer than the actual book. With the bookseller ticket of the famous Drama Book Shop, 29 West 47th St, NYC rear pastedown.
