Ex-library, Riwaka Library (a small 19th century provincial New Zealand library, Riwaka is situated 5km from Motueka, in the upper part of New Zealand's South Island.) Rebound in 19th Century half-leather library binding. Lacking the half-title page. Chipped paper library label on spine. Library number on title page and front endpaper. Moderate rubbing to boards. Joints rubbed. Superficial scrapes and losses to leather. 1/8" chips to leather at tips of lower corners of boards. No tears to folding map. Page margins trimmed a little during rebinding. A large 6" tear to one leaf (pages 71-72). A 1/2" tear to blank margin of one plate. Some light foxing to plates. Some light fingermarks to margins of some plates. ; Uncommon. ix, [3], 340 pages + 6 tinted lithograph plates + 1 folding map. Lacking the half-title page. Half-calf binding. Page dimensions: 181 x 119mm. The six plates are: The Cathedral, Port Louis; Port Louis, with the Pouce and Pieter Botte Mountains; Churches at Maheboug and Plaines Wilhelms; Creve Coeur, and the Pieter Botte Mountain; Travelling through a Forest in Madagascar; Antananarivo. ; Ex-Library; 8vo .
