John Dadmun (1819 – 1890) was a pastor at the Methodist Episcopal Church, in South Hadley Falls, Holyoke, Massachusetts. He also served as prison chaplain at Deer Isle, off the coast of Maine. He wrote multiple works including:

The songs are arranged in 4 sections Blue Lodge, Chapter Songs, Encampment Songs, and Council of Royal and Select Masters.
