Jubilee re-issue. 224pp. In deep green leatherette boards with gilt rules, decorations and lettering front and spine. 8vo. Hint of spotting on top page block edge else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. In its original golden dust jacket, bright and crisp with just a tad of rubbing on corners. Dust jacket now protected in a Brodart-style sleeve, fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. One of twelve Jubilee Reissues, specially selected and introduced by Julian Symons, published to mark the Collin's Crime Club's Gold Jubilee in 1980, each one chosen from titles which appeared under the Crime Club imprint between 1930 and 1955 and which were out of print at the time. Andrew Garve was one of the pseudonyms of journalist and crime writer, Paul Winterton, founder member of the Crime Writers' Association.
