The Maryland Line in the Confederate Army, 1861-1865. Guggenheimer, Weil, Baltimore. Copyright 1900. This is a second edition of the 1869 first. This edition is advertised as "Revised and expanded." This edition physically larger than the first edition. Equally scarce. In Tall Cotton - 69: "The best study of a Maryland unit. Author was one of few who admitted robbing dead soldiers." Nevins I-95. Coulter 192: " His unit served primarily in the Shenandoah Valley and Northern Virginia. It did service at Gettysburg." Howes 226. Although it appears there was little change from the earlier first edition, this copy is thought of as another edition. The narrative is divided into chapters discussing specific Maryland units. Many portraits and some unit rosters.
