About This Item
First UK Edition; A Near Fine book in a Near Fine dust jacket. An excellent copy of this early novel by the critically acclaimed author of "Rebecca", "My Cousin Rachel", "Jamaica Inn", etc. This copy is in near fine condition with a clean tight binding, bright gold lettering over red boards, and white pages free from any markings; the book does show light shelf wear to the spine ends, a couple of mildly pushed corners, and light spotting to the top exterior text block. Housed in a near fine, crisp and bright dust jacket that shows only a general age-toning, some very light rubbing to the ends and edges, and a small stain to the back flap, else fine. Unusual to find this book with a nice collectible dust jacket; the material used for the jacket is very cheap and flimsy. Not price clipped (12/6 net intact), and not ex-library; in a protective mylar cover and will ship in a sturdy box.
