About This Item

Random House , 1956. Hardcover. Very Good. 8x5x1. Steele Savage. Scarce and Hard to Find Pictorial Cover Hardback book is in Good to Very Good condition with a tight binding and mostly clean crisp internal pages with some writing and underling on a few pages. The previous owner wrote his name, address and phone number on the outside border of three pages and about 7 other pages have some minor underlining- some are just a date or name. The inside text is truly in very nice condition and would be in Excellent condition if not for the small amount of writing as this book has 184 pages with 95% totally clear! The first blank end page is missing and the same previous owner has written his name and address, who he bought the book from and the amount inside the front cover and the back cover! - and also a couple of other notes. Not sure what the purpose of all that was, but it is there! This is NOT an ex-Library book, but has come from a private collection. Outside pictorial covers are very nice with some minor wear to the outside corners. No Dust Jacket was produced with the Pictorial Cover Edition. Scarce title in the wonderful Landmark series. Again, this is a very nice copy with the exception of the inside writing that are a minor portion of the text. Landmark Books and World Landmark Books are accurate, in-depth stories for young people in the 9-15 year old range. These living histories were written by award-winning authors or by men and women who experienced the events first hand. Written during the 1950's and 1960's and illustrated either with two-color drawings or clear photographs, the books are informative, enjoyable, and well worth reading and collecting.
