A story of treason, lust, and dishonesty evolving around Lord Marmion's lust for a rich, engaged woman. The first edition appeared in 1808 and many editions followed within the same year.In six cantos, with numerous notes to the rear. Bound without half title.Robert Wilson's armorial bookplate to front pastedown. In full calf binding with titles in gilt to morocco spine label. Externally with shelf wear, rubbed and lightly scuffed to boards and spine, which has faded. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean. Good
