Fine condition in alike dust-jacket. BAL 3578; Few letters written by Samuel Langhorne Clemens, are more revealing than those addressed to Mary Mason Fairbanks. The hitherto unpublished letters shed important light upon the development of Samuel Clemens, particularly during the years between his coming out West and his settling in Harford with wife and family in 1871.
