[Twain, Mark] [Clemens, S. L.] Millicent Library. MARK TWAIN AND FAIRHAVEN. Fairhaven, Mass.: Issued by the Millicent Library [1913] First edition. Original tan printed yapped wrappers, stapled as issued. Small chip to corner of rear wrapper, split to wrapper at foot of spine, but a clean attractive copy. Contains the first printing of Twain's speech at the dedication of the new town hall in 1894, plus the text of his wonderful letter about libraries and books. This edition should not be confused with the common 1926 reprint. BAL 3518.
