About This Item
London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1896. First edition, first printing. Published by Hodder & Stoughton in London, 1896. This is the first British issue and is in near fine condition. Without the dust wrapper. The black clothbound boards are sharp at the corners and sunned at the spine. They are free from notable chips and marks. The text blocks are mildly foxed throughout. The internals are clean and free from previous owners ink. This is a near fine copy. A tribute to his mother in biography.
