Twelve folded maps, each measuring 25 x 31 inches when unfolded, with a twelve page introductory booklet, all cased in a printed fabric covered board portfolio. There is a gift inscription to the previous owner on the inside of the front cover of the portfolio. Else, there are no other internal markings, and all elements are in otherwise sharp and pristine condition. A handsome re-issuing of the series of 18th century maps by Rhigas Pheraios Velestinlis that were drawn to present irresistible proof of the ancient origins of the Greek character of Macedonia.
