Preface and eulogy are written by Ossie Davis. Includes biography, bibilography of Malcolm X, and photographs and bibliographic notes on the authors. Some of the authors are: Gwendolyn Brooks, Robert Hayden, Etheridge Knight, Ted Joans, Margaret Walker, LeRoi Jones and John Sinclair. Very scarce.. Fifth Printing. Hardcover. Very Good+. 8vo.

Detroit: Broadside Press, 1969. Second edition. Paperback. Good. Tan paperback with black titles. 2nd edition, 3rd printing. A good copy with edge wear, foxing, and some soil to the light covers. The price has been rubbed off of the top right corner of the cover, taking the top of the last M in Malcolm with it. Previous owner's name neatly to the top of the 1st blank along with the ghosting of a price erasures. Otherwise, the pages are clean and unmarked, but age-toned. The binding is tight as if unread, but the juncture of the text block and the rear cover is showing down to the glue. An overall good and solid copy with external wear. 217 pp., including an introduction, and the eulogy by Ossie Davis, and poetry from some of the best including Gwendolyn Brooks, Clarence Majors, LeRoi Jones, and Margaret Burroughs. Lengthy bibliography and suggested readings section at rear, and black and white photos of the included poets.
