It was the first issue of Beadle's Dime Novels. The cover of the first issue is reproduced as the frontispiece and also on the back of the jacket. On the front of the jacket is a facsimile of the second issue. 254 pages, tiny residue of a price sticker on the ffepBound in orange cloth with gold lettering on the front and spine. Jacket has some chippingalong the top edge, not price clipped ($2.50) Spine is sun-faded.
