Heavy book, quality dark blue cloth, an ornate embossed green border to gilt title and author at top front, gilt lettering very bright on spine, a green design including Danish flag inside covers and adjacent end papers, 443 pages. Introduction by Theodore Roosevelt. Tissue-covered frontispiece photo portrait of Riis. DJ heavy paper beneath mylar, an illustration of manor house in red with blue sky at top front, spine browned, browned at back blue edges. Numerous photo illustrations. DJ has tiny tears and tiny chips, spine browned. Good+DJ/Very Fine book.
