Octavo (8 1/2 by 5 1/2 inches) London: Reeder & Walsh, 1913. First Edition. 15 pages printed on rectos, stapled wrappers, period advertisements with half tone photo portraits of male actors inside front and back covers, printed advertisement on back cover, very good condition: (old advertising sticker neatly pasted to front cover under author's name for a musical instrument and record store; old rubber stamp "Price For the Colonies" in lower right corner of front cover, unobtrusive old pencil mark to upper left corner of front cover, and similarly, but more lightly, to back cover, bump to upper left corner of front cover); none of these affecting contents.
A description of how to use grease paint to create various characters: "young man," "middle-aged man," "coon, for this make-up various shades of brown are used," and other suggestions for wigs, shape of the nose, teeth, and "moustachios."
