Octovo hardcover in fine black cloth, tight binding, clean unmarked pages, covers have faint wear, else VG++ in VG DJ, now in clear mylar jacket protector. Solid copy. Chikamatsu Monzaemon wrote about 130 plays, most for the Noh (Japanese) theatre; the translator submits 11 plays , one history and 10 domestic tragedies. We understand the worth of Chikamatsu's work by reading this book. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
