Classic text details the geneological history, life and legend of the famed Maire Rua, born in either 1615 or 1616 at Clonderlaw to Torlach Rua MacMahon and Mary O'Brien. Around 1639 Maire Rua married her second husband, Conor O'Brien of Leamaneh, and resided at the fifteenth-century tower house castle at Leamaneh. In the 1640's the family seat was moved to Dromoland Castle by one of her sons, where she spent the final years of her life. 122 pgs. Color and black & white illustrations. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Fine. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
