London: Hodder & Stoughton, Limited, 1932. 1st edition. Cloth. Very Good/Good. 1st edition. A Very Good copy in Good dust jacket. 8vo., 215 pp. Blue cloth in white dust jacket. The dj is moderately soiled, with a loss at the spine's crown. The head of the crown is scuffed, effecting the gilt title. Slightly canted back to front. The dj is now protected in a mylar sleeve. John Buchan is perhaps best known for his mystery novel, The Thirty-nine Steps. This work, The Magic Walking-Stick is his only book written for children.
