Cleveland, Ohio: The World Publishing Company, 1968. First American Edition . Decorative Cloth. Very Good -/Good+. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Marlenka Stupica. A favourite Balkan classic from Slovenia in Northern Yugoslavia. A kind-hearted peasant boy rescues a dog, a cat and a snake. He is rewarded for his kindness with a magic ring that brings him fortune and love. The ring and his princess is stolen and he is thrown in prison. His animal friends unite to rescue him and get his ring and princess back. Unpaginated. Pink, decorative boards have a slight curve, some fading at top edge and tape marks. Mylar-protected, price-clipped DJ has tears at several corners and some chipping at bottom spine end and minor curling at top edge.
