Study of the huge variety of ways in which the magical qualities of birds have been depicted by artists, writers and storytellers over the centuries. 160pp with index, beautifully illustrated throughout, mainly in colour. Gilt lettering to spine, yellow endpapers. Slight bumping to spine and small rubbed patch on lower edge of top board, otherwise very good copy with no inscriptions. Unclipped DJ has minimal shelfwear and fading to spine, otherwise very good. .
