Decorated endpapers. Stiff, illustrated wraps, stapled. The story of Madame Dorian, a forgotten successor of Sacajawea, who accompanied her husband Pierre and the overland Astorians over much of the Lewis and Clark terrain, some five years after Lewis and Clark. For years author Peltier operated Clark's Old Book Store in Spokane.
