Advert front end papers - general title page followed by the tours,1/ Glasgow to Oban 48 pages 8 plates + folding map, 2/ Oban to Staffa & Iona 48 pages 8 plates and map, 3/ Oban to Fort William & Banavie by Ballahulish and Glencoe 46 pages 8 plates + folding map, 4/ Banavie to Inverness 56 pages 6 plates + folding map, 5 /Oban to the Isle of Sky 74 pages includes appendix and index 8 plates + 4 maps 2 are folding, rear end paper plan of Glasgow. The contents clean and tight with no inscriptions as are the lithograph plates. Bound in the publisher?s green cloth with gilt title within ornate gilt decorations and centrepiece crest with gilt ruled bordes. Repeated in blind stamp to rear board. The spine with gilt title again within decorative border. The binding clean and tight with no splits or stains a vg copy. 2 copies located at Royal Library, Royal Collection, University of Glasgow Library.
