Contents include : 106pp Warren Hastings ; 94pp Lord Clive; 149pp William Pitt, Earl of Chatham; 47pp Ranke's History of the Popes; 70pp Gladstone on Church and State; 90pp The Life and Writings of Addison; 45pp Horace Walpole and 65pp Samuel Johnson. Half leather scuffed boards with five raised bands on the spine. Edinburgh Subscription Library stamp at the top of spine. Bottom 1" of leather missiing, hinge cracked in places but firm. Internally good plus. Hard to find. .
