A collection of critical essays by Thomas Babington Macaulay, originally appeared in the influential magazine The Edinburgh Review. Three volumes in one.Essays include 'Warren Hastings,' 'Lord Clive,' and 'William Pitt, the Earl of Chatham.' With separate title pages and pagination. In half calf binding over marbled boards and edges, marbled endpapers. Externally smart with minor shelf wear, light scuffing to front board and extremities of rear. Back strip only lightly faded. Internally, firmly bound. Light minor spotting to first and last few leaves affecting only odd leaf. Pages otherwise generally very clean throughout. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
