In French. 1921 first edition Ernest Flammarion, Editeur (Paris), 4 5/8 x 6 1/2 inches tall stapled paperbound in nicely illustrated wraps printed in black and blue, 61 pp. plus table of contents and publisher's ads. Covers lighhtly soiled and edgeworn. Age toning to paper. Otherwise, a very good copy - clean and unmarked - of this scarce early twentieth century humorous issue. OCLC (No. 815942698) locates only one copy, worldwide, at Universitatsbibliothek Wurzburg in Germany. ~C~ Max and Alex Fischer are twentieth century French writers of Swiss origin, brothers who jointly wrote humorous stories. Max (Maxime Chevalier Elieser Abraham) Fischer (1880-1957) and Alex (Alex James Abraham Eliezer) Fischer (1881-1935) were the literary editors of Editions Flammarion in Paris.
