USA: Penguin Books, 1963. Paperback. Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6?" - 7?" tall. Penguin Paperback in Good Condition. Translated and with an Introduction by Ronald Latham. The hinged, white cover with purple border is lightly greyish on parts of the white section, no spotting or marks, light wear to cover edges, soundly bound with slight lean to spine, all pages intact. Red line to lower edge of text block. Pages are clean and easy to read with much underlining and marking of text. Lucretius (c 99 BC - c 55 BC), a Roman poet and philosopher, wrote this didactic poem to explain Epicurean philosophy to a Roman audience. His poem is divided into six untitled (titles added in this translation) books that explore Epicurean physics using rich poetic language and metaphors. 256 pages. 7.2 x 4.2 inches. Penguin Books, Baltimore, Maryland, 1963.
