This second volume covers the regiment in the years 1914 to 1919, during the First World War. The first volume, not present here, covered the years 1741 to 1914.A line infantry regiment of the British Army that existed until 1970, the Regiment raised a number of extra war service battalions during the Great War, serving in Flanders, but in 2006 was amalgamated into the Duke of Lancaster Regiment (King's, Lancashire and Border).Illustrated with fourteen maps, and twenty-three photographic illustrations.
