Hauser Printing Co, New Orleans, 1917. Edition Unstated. Hardcover. Good+/No Jacket. Signed by Author. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Text body is clean and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. This copy in inscribed to Albert Houghton and signed by the author and includes a copy of an article about the benefit performance and a bookseller's advertisement. Green and tan cloth over boards with tan label on front cover. Corners are bumped and worn, and spine is soiled. A highly poetical pageant that explores Louisiana history. It was performed in the French Opera House in New Orleans to a standing room only audience as a benefit for the Camp Beauregard Hospital Fund.
