New York: The Limited Editions Club, 1983. Number 1347 of 1500 copies, signed by the illustrator. Lovely edition in three quarter rose colored leather over pink and burgundy calico patterned cotton cloth, all edges gilt, tissue protected frontis and other plates, rose colored slipcase. The book has a faded bu legible spine, tight binding, pristine pages, no other names or markings. The slipcase has some uneven fading but is very good overall. Obtained from first owner who purchased directly from Limited Editions Club. . Signed by the Artist. Limited Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good Slipcase. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
Synopsis
Willa Cather's A Lost Lady was first published in 1923. It tells the story of Marian Forrester and her husband, Captain Daniel Forrester who live in the Western town of Sweet Water, along the Transcontinental Railroad.
