About This Item

UK,8vo HB+dw/dj,1st edn. FINE/FINE-. No owner inscrptn and no price-clip to dw/dj.Bright, crisp, clean, glossy,wrap-around colour pictorial artwork by Josh Kirby, illustrated dw/dj,with author's capitalised forename and red-shadowed,capitalised,royal blue-lettered surname, capitalised white-lettered title and capitalised, red lettered sub-title [A DISCWORLD NOVEL]; an inevitable age-acquired but lightly sunned spine/backstrip with similarly coloured+lettered author surname and title as the front's author surname faded to lighter shade of blue, and publisher's black illustrated colophon to foot of same, rear panel with continuation of colour pictorial artwork illustration. Negligible shelf-wear,bumping,creasing to edges and corners - no nicks, tears or splits present. Top+ fore-edges with some minimal thumbing (?),but bright and clean without foxing/spotting; contents bright, tight, clean, solid and sound - pristine - no dog-ear reading creases to any pages' corner tips, appears unread apart from my own collation.Publisher's bright, crisp, unblemished,sharp-cornered original plain royal blue cloth boards with bright, crisp, blocked gilt lettering, and immaculate plain white endpapers.UK,8vo HB+ dw/dj,1st edn,7-275pp [paginated] includes story without chapter numeration; plus [unpaginated] half-title+title pages, author's NOTE,and to the rear 4pp blanks. Visually the exterior appearance is still exceptional, and particularly internally, the book is also in an exceptional condition/state of preservation and presentation for a book of its 30+ year-old age. It is only the minimal exterior faults described that prevents a slightly higher overall grading.Despite them,it really is still an exceptional, exemplary example for its cleanliness, brightness and lack of major detracting faults. Author's 14th Discworld novel and 4th Witches-related novel. It's a hot Midsummer Night. The crop circles are turning up everywhere - even on the mustard_and-cress of Pewsey Ogg,aged four. And Magrat Garlick, witch,is going to be married in the morning . . . Everything ought to be going like a dream. But the Lancre All-Comers Morris Team have got drunk on a fairy mound and the elves have come back, bringing all those things traditionally associated with the magical, glittering realm of Fairie: cruelty, kidnapping, malice and evil, evil murder.* Granny Weatherwax and her tiny argumentative coven have really got their work cut out this time . . . With full supporting cast of dwarfs, wizards, trolls,Morris Dancers and one orang-utan.And lots of hey-nonny-nonny and blood all over the place. *But with tons of style. Author's 14th Discworld novel and 4th Witches-related novel. Reading order thus: 14th novel preceded by 'Small Gods' and succeeded by 'Men at Arms'. 4th Witches story,(1992),preceded by 'Witches Abroad',and succeeded by 'Maskerade'. N.B. ALL buyers please note, stocks' actual shipping/P+p costs are adjusted and any difference is refunded, after order's receipt and before the order's despatch, especially if the item(s) are offered either P+p included/FREE.
