1946. LOWELL, Robert. LORD WEARY'S CASTLE. New York: Harcourt, Brace and Company, (1946). First edition, with publisher's review slip tipped-in at the front. x,69 pp. Slim octavo, black cloth, gilt lettering at spine. A near fine copy; faint foxing to endpapers, and few spots of marginal soiling, else clean and crisp. In a dust jacket which is heavily foxed, being more apparent on the thin strip of white at the fold-in of the upper panel and on the white lower panel, shows light edgewear, and has a closed tear at the lower fold-in. Lowell's second book, containing "The Quaker Garveyard in Nantucket," it was greeted with critical acclaimn.
