The book has been re-bound at some point by a previous owner and now has a quarter brown leather binding with gold gilt spine lettering and raised spine bands, speckled page edges, reinforced hinges, 238 pages, attractive color illustrations. Juvenile adventure story with fantastic elements per Bleiler [1978 Checklist page 188]. A good copy of the book with the top of spine chipped, some wear to leather, hand soiling to the binding and age toned end papers. See photos LR2/4E
