Smith, Elder, & Co., 1882. Very Good. First edition (COPAC). 8vo, pp. 278, (2) adverts. Later library binding: black leatherette, gilt lettering and blind bands to spine. Light blue endpapers. Light spotting to top edge, small ink spatter to fore. POI to free page: 'Q. Crediton[?] 1917'. Prelims and adverts browned, text block toned, else, clean and tight: a tidy, robust copy of a scarce edition. In the UK, held by the five legal deposit libraries only.
