In original unclipped dustwrapper. First edition. William Sansom (1912 - 1976) a British novelist, travel and short story writer known for his highly descriptive prose style. In 1946 and 1947 he was awarded two literary prizes by the Society of Authors, and in 1951 was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. In a quarter cloth binding with decorative paper covered boards, in unclipped dustwrapper in a protective brodart wrap. Externally,smart. Minor shelfwear to the boards. Dustwrapper has minor edgewear and slight marginal fading, mostly to spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean throughout with only offsetting to endpapers. Fine
