Firenze: Universita Internazionale dell' Arte e de 'La Strozzina" , 1972. This is a very good softcover copy in the original stiff pictorial card covers and red cloth spine with just light wear. Completely clean inside and out. Signed and briefly inscribed by Corrado Cagli on the front endpaper and dated Rome, 1972. Text in Italian. This was a major retrospective for Corrado Cagli, held at the Palazzo Strozzi in Firenze, Italy from January 15 through February 28, 1972. Corrado Cagli (1910 - 1976) was born in Ancona but grew up in Rome. Illustrated in black & white throughout with several hundred reproductions of Cagli's paintings and drawings. Introductory essay by Carlo Ragghianti. Many statements by Cagli's Italian contemporaries including Ernesto Rogers, Massimo Bontempelli, poet Charles Olsen, Giuseppe Marchiori, Renato Guttuso, Giovanni Carandente, Raffaele Carrieri, Aldo Palazzeschi, Enrico Crispolti, Franco Russoli, Rafael Alberti, Giuseppe Ungaretti, among others. 11" high X 8" wide, 46 text pages + 606 black & white plates.
