New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1930. x, 431pp. Octavo. Jungle green cloth with gold gilt lettering stamped the on spine and front board. Black illustration of a horse and cowboy on front of board. Black and white portrait frontis.; black and white illustrations throughout the text. Deckling to fore edge of text block. Light wear to ends of spine and corners; sun fading to the spine. Corners lightly bumped. In teal dust jacket, not price clipped. The jacket is worn at edges with some creasing, small closed tears and mild chipping. Toning to the back of the jacket. Signed and dated by Will James on the ffep. A very good signed copy. Frazier PG 40. With a contemporary signature by the author on the front free endpaper. Illustrated by the author. A true first edition, as signified by the Scribner's A. Will James was a cowboy, cattle rustler, beloved author and artist of the American West. A wonderfully well preserved and signed copy. 1930
