An early edition of this grammar book from the late eighteenth century with illustrations. Early edition of The London Vocabulary, English and Latin by James Greenwood rebound in modern cloth. Put into the new method, proper to acquaint the learner with things as well as pure Latin words for use in schools.With twenty six woodcut illustrations throughout the text. Collated, complete.With the original pastedowns attached to the new pastedowns, with ink inscriptions from 1852, 1888 and 1905. Greenwood was an English grammarian from the late seventeenth and early eighteenth century.With trimming to all page corners. Rebound in modern cloth. Externally, very smart. There is some slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. With the original endpapers attached to the pastedowns, with ink inscriptions from 1852, 1888 and 1905. The pages are generally bright and clean with some spotting throughout and age toning. With trimming to all page corners. Good
