This lovely little book features 11 stories or remembrances of H. M.Tomlinson who grew up in the Poplar District on the river Thames. Tomlinson was a travel writer, war correspondent, essayist and novelist whose deep roots in the Dockside life of sail and steam ships greatly influenced his writings.
Boards are in excellent condition with some minor bumps to corners. Embossed design and tittles are bright. End papers are colorfully designed. There is a small closed tear on the verso of the title page (see image). There is a dedication in ink on the half-title page that appears to be in German or a Scandinavian language. Pages are bright and clean and hinge is tight.All proceeds benefit The Friends of the San Anselmo Library. No expedited shipping outside of the United States.
