An unnumbered copy from 900 printed on papier velin. Fine copy of the first edition of one of the most important catalogues of children's books. "This splendidly illustrated bookseller's catalogue of 6,251 children's books is the first major bibliography solely devoted to children's books and has become a standard reference work on the subject" (Breslauer & Folter 158). Introduction in French and English, descriptions in French. Besides 15th - 19th-century books, it includes a selection of early children's games.
