Vil. II, To which is Prefix'd A Preface, containing a General View of the Laws of England, with respect to Capital Offences. Leather bound volume with front cover detached, loss at both ends of plain banded spine. Internal binding is sound, pages are a little darkened and the frontis has a rubbed and rolled edge. Volume includes a frontis. which appears to show, in a series of images,the murder by Catherine Haynes and others of her husband resulting in the murderers' execution which in her case was by being burnt at the stake. There are woodcut decorations between each "life" and decorated chapter capitals. A Catalogue of Books Printed for Edward Symon is bound at the rear.
