Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge, 1857. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1857. New Edition. 426 pages. No dust jacket. Brown cloth with gilt lettering. Black and white illustrated plates throughout. Slight cracking to gutters with exposed netting, Pages remain attached. Pages have light tanning and foxing throughout. Plates are lightly tanned with some foxing. Previous owner's inscriptions and stamp to front pastedown, endpaper and title page. Stains and markings to some pages. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Moderate tanning to spine and edges with light crushing to spine ends causing fraying to cloth. Wear marks overall.
