London: Seeley,Jackson & Halliday, 1868. Hardcover. Good. Plates (48) by Froelich. Small quarto red gilt decorative cloth (tips worn/head & foot of spine chipped/sl.marked) about 95pages +48 plates. Entirely printed in sepia - text and plates. Inner hinge repaired with a bit too much glue. Nice inscription and Victorian miniature bookseller's label on FEP. A charming story of two children who imagine that they can discover a new country if they go out of doors alone - every river becomes the Nile every mountain Mont Blanc etc.
