London: Ernest Nister, 1867. Delightful book explaining Natural History to children, arranged by the Seasons. Well illustrated with Full Page Colour Plates and B&W In-Text Illustrations. Includes Butterflies, Beetles, Squirrels, Heron, Cuckoo & much more. White textured paper spine and Coulour illustration of Butterflies on front. 108 Pages,150g, 5 3/4" Tall. Small tear at bottom corner of spine. Some edge wear and a few specks of chipping to cover (see photo). Front free endpaper missing. No inscriptions. One B&W illustration has some blue pencil scribble, also a little on one text page. Otherwise a nice copy of a charming wildlife book. Size: 24mo - over 5" - 5¾" tall. Paper Covered Boards. Good.
