East Aurora, NY: Roycrofters, 1905. First Edition. Paperback. Very good. 8vo. 8"x6". Sewn wraps. All volumes in very good condition with minor shelf wear to wraps, and several have unopened pages. All are complete as issued with portrait pages laid in, except Copernicus and Galileo which lack their portraits.
This is a collection of 11 antique books hand-printed by the Roycrofters, the celebrated arts and crafts community of East Aurora, NY. These are from the 1905 Great Scientists series (Vol. XVI and XVII). This collection is nearly complete, lacking only Haeckel (July, 1905). (McKenna 119)
