About This Item
The Roycroft Shop, January 1900. Trade Paperback. Collectible - Good/No Jacket. Grey wrapper. Printed in 1900 by the Roycrofters. The green initials on the front cover in the Roycroft logo were designed by Mr. Samuel Warner (honest Roycrofter). The paper is hand-made, Roycroft water-mark. The booklet is stitched by hand with silk. A photogravure portrait on Japan Vellum accompanies each booklet as a frontispiece. This booklet is about the home of William Morris, with his portrait as the frontispiece, after a painting by Watts. The Roycrofters are a small band of workers who make beautiful books and things - making them as good as they can. The initials are illumined by hand. Spine is split half way at the seam.
