VIII, 164 pages, last blank, preface by author, list of illustrations, bibliography and index. Text is illustrated with contemporary black and white photographs. Black covered boards with gilt writing on spine. The corners of book slightly bumped and minor shelf wear is evident to the bottom edges. Plain text dustwrapper with pink background and blue writing on front panel and spine. The corners of the dustwrapper are slightly rubbed and there is rubbing to all dust wrapper facets. The dustwrapper is very faded, and there are varying shades of the fading. Where there was a price sticker on the bottom right hand corner of the dustwrapper ,the colour is at full strength. The top 1/4" of the front panel has all most faded to white and the majority of the front panel is somewhat faded. There are some marks to top spine edge and to the back panel. During Alfred Midgley's life he was a Queensland parliamentarian, poet and devout Methodist. In all aspects he brought a gift of oratory and humanism.  Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
