London, John Long Limited, 1936 1st edition. Hardback, approx 9.5 x 6 inches. Black cloth with gilt lettering to spine. In very good condition. Some minor rubbing and handling marks to cloth. Corners slightly bumped, small chips to cloth at bottom leading corners. Some rubbing and small nicks to ends of spine. Neat pencil inscription to front endpaper.Stamps to first and last pages “The Leisure Libraries, Wood Green.” A couple of minor handling marks and a couple of occasional dark foxing spots to page edges, else pages and plates all very clean and tight. Else a very good clean and tight copy. 285pp + 16pp cat. With 37 B&W photo illustrations over 32 plates.
