San Francisco: Taylor, Nash &Taylor Co., 1911. Revised edition. Fine, entirely clean and unworn.. Original plain charcoal gray boards with gilt cover title; 12mo; [30] pp. Inscribed on front endpaper by the author to Samuel M. Shortridge, Esq., with regards of Edward Robeson Taylor. Edward Robeson Taylor (1838-1923) practiced law in San Francisco and was mayor of the city 1907-10. Samuel M. Strobridge (1861-1952) was a San Francisco lawyer and Republican Senator from California, serving 2 terms in Washington from 1920 to 1932. Title poem was originally published in 1902, this 1911 edition of the poem "has been carefully revised . . . the revision including the deletion of three and the addition of fourteen stanzas.
